Player’s Prep Off-Season Training & Testing
Player’s Prep Takes Off-Season Training to a New Level.
Falling on the heels of the highly-successful Collegiate Prep program, Player’s Prep is helping Complete Athlete core players to continue their training and testing regimen into the off season for 2011/2012. And, as an added bonus, we are also opening these sessions and testing dates to players from around North Texas.
The multiple sessions here follow a logical day-to-day progression of training steps that create the finely-tuned rhythm pitchers and position players must embrace to prepare for championship season play, and to develop a dossier for recruiters.
Player’s Prep develops strength, improves mechanics and mentally prepares the player for the rigors of his most-important season, the spring high school or collegiate season. Athletes undergoing the Player’s Prep regimen actually maintain strength throughout the season, and report to “work” ready to perform.
No other off-season program offered in North Texas has this level of performance science behind it’s every premise. Reason enough for the Rod Dedeaux Research & Baseball Institute (RDRBI) to hand pick the Complete Athlete as a host site testing partner, and reason enough for your player to excel under the area’s finest science-based performance system.
Here’s How It Works
For Existing Players – You will attend weekday sessions on pre-designated dates for a 1-hour supervised session. Additional lifting and conditioning will be self-directed and with groups of like-skilled players. Testing will be performed on October 8, November 12, December 10, and January 14. It is highly recommended that you attend a minimum of one (1) Symposium/Clinic session to refresh knowledge and maintain the highest possible understanding of this training protocol.
For NEW Players – First, you must attend a Testing Session to determine your baseline performance levels. If you wish to participate in weekday training sessions, you must also attend a Symposium/Clinic to learn the basics of CA training including the Dynamic WarmUp, Functional Strength & Conditioning, Mechanics of Movement, Nutritional Essentials and your Daily Drills for improving strength and conditioning throughout a season.
Once you have completed the weekend Testing/Symposium/Clinic sessions, you are eligible for our weekday one-hour sessions, and have access to our strength and conditioning facilities for specific days we have designated throughout the fall and winter. Additional testing at the end of the fall/winter sessions is highly recommended to gauge your progress, and to have facts and figures for presenting to recruiters and scouts, but is not strictly required.
