When the invitation came to fly to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to participate in a weekend of workouts, training and teaching with US Elite Baseball, Donnie Watson readily accepted. Not only was he invited to speak at the organization’s annual banquet, but was to lead a special Sunday morning mini-symposium for the players, parents and coaches as well.
Donnie Watson invited CA Certified Athlete Avery Sullivan to participate and the two arrived late Friday night … Sullivan having completed two of his finals earlier in the day.
What was to be a glimpse into the protocols and training of the Complete Athlete soon evolved into a melding of the two cultures, and a mutual respect for helping the players achieve their potential. US Elite is known for its disciplined and successful play in regional and national tournaments. It also provides a high level of visibility for players seeking collegiate and professional opportunities.
USE Director Mark Helsel later said to his US Baseball Network coaches “The Sunday workout was awesome to watch. Our kids are firmly now on a mission to become “the complete athlete” and we (USBN and USE) are going to set yet another standard in this thing called “travel baseball”. We will be the fittest and the most educated organization in the country by following Donnie’s lead.”
Donnie Watson commented as well following the weekend, saying “I think we have a similar vision and I know that as more of their people see more of our health and performance curriculum that together we will separate our brands from all the rest.”
Complete Athlete plans additional events with US Elite as they prepare a new facility in Harrisburg, and ongoing coordination and training with the United States Baseball Network, and the Texas Baseball Network to assist them in becoming a dramatically different (and superior) choice for players and parents wanting higher achievement and improved results via performance science protocols.
“The results speak for themselves,” said Watson. “and if players want to reach their genetic potential and learn how to become genuine leaders on and off the field, they’ll find a home here.”
