Complete Athlete Faculty & Coaches
Donnie Watson, co-founder and performance analyst with the Complete Athlete. Prior to joining the entrepreneurial vision and continuing efforts of the Complete Athlete, Donnie was a successful coach, teacher, recruiter and director of player and program development. During the past 16 years as an assistant and NCAA Division I head baseball coach, Donnie has worked with 1000′s of aspiring baseball players and
is known as a one of the nation’s foremost authorities for teaching science based throwing mechanics and functional strength regimens for success. Along with his work alongside such throwing expets as Dr. Tom House, Nolan Ryan and Dr. James Andrews, he has accumulated a deep array of testimonials to attest to his unique ability to instruct, inform and inspire players, parents and coaches to move past the personal constraints of outdated teachings that exist in today’s playing environment.
In 1993, Donnie founded The All-American Baseball Camps, Inc., a 501(C)3 tax exempt charitable corporation, which serves to provide baseball camp tuition scholarships for underprivileged youth. This was the start of a personal mission to gather and disseminate information to improve the health and performance of baseball pitchers regardless of level of play. In 2004, Donnie was named the NPA Coach and Coordinator for the Texas region. During this time, Donnie hosted symposiums on injury prevention for youth baseball players.
Donnie is also a certified Functional Fitness Instructor through the Absolute Performance Group of Del Mar, California. Donnie earned his BS degree in Education from the University of Dallas in 1978. He was an All-Conference and All-Region player in 1977 and 1978. In addition, Donnie was inducted into The University of Dallas Sports Hall of Fame in 2002. Jenifer Wells, co-founder of Complete Athlete, is currently a performance analyst,
certified functional fitness trainer and expansion/development director for the company. She also operates the motion capture system for research and development and is responsible for developing the Complete Athlete bio-mechanic model to be specifically used to identify the health and performance parameters unique to the fastpitch pitcher in softball. Before assuming these duties with the Complete Athlete and establishing herself as a respected teacher, clinician and coach, Jen served as a consultant for the International Olympic Committee, in the South Pacific responsible for teaching and developing fastpitch softball players and their teams competing in the 2007 South Pacific Games, in Samoa.
As an NCAA head softball coach for 6 years prior to accepting the IOC position, Jen was building successful collegiate programs by concentrating on developing the overall skills of the student/athlete. From 1999-2000, Jen taught Fitness and Aerobics while coaching softball at Sapulpa High School in Sapulpa, OK. and spent 1998-1999 as the assistant softball coach for The University of Tulsa. As an student/athlete she gained national recognition and has few peers to match her accomplishments in the class room and on the softball field. An Honor student who earned her BS degree from Oklahoma City University, in 1997, Jen was part of a team that claimed three National Championships while garnering personal All-American honors in 1994, 1995, and 1996. Jen’s high school career, at Ponca City High School in Oklahoma, was equally as illustrious as her college experience and culminated in being listed among the nations most sought after recruits.
Her penchant for success is rooted in a desire to improve the opportunities upcoming athletes face and a rare ability to combine a keen sense for identifying and developing athletic talent with a business acumen that is both savvy and tough.

Brent George, 41, has joined the Complete Athlete Faculty. As a physical therapist, Brent brings medical expertise to the Complete Athlete curriculum. He graduated with a Master of Physical Therapy degree in 1992 from the University of Puget Sound. He has been a part time faculty member at the University of Puget Sound for 10 years where he teaches biomechanics, functional exercise and injury
assessment/treatment. Brent has also conducted countless seminars on injury prevention, biomechanical analysis and functional exercise. Brent has been a consultant to the University of Oregon, the University of Washington, and the University of Puget Sound Athletic Departments. He has worked closely with amateur, collegiate and professional athletes including the Seattle Seahawks.
In 1997, Brent founded G2 Sports Therapy with his wife Kristi and built this clinic into a highly regarded and regionally recognized clinic. Brent now resides in Issaquah, Washington with his wife and two children and enjoys coaching youth sports and playing drums.
Scott Centala has established himself as an authority and national speaker in life skills within the sports arena. He is a personal development and performance enhancement consultant with multi-sport male and female athletes and coaches from the amateur, professional, olympic, and international levels. Scott currently serves as the Player Development Coordinator for the Arizona
Diamondbacks organization. He is also a consultant for the Toyota Shokki Women’s Professional Fast-pitch team that won the Japanese Softball Association (JSA) Championship in 2006 and 2007 and took second in 2008. Scott continues to be a coach and advisor for ASA Absolute Blast organization, including coaching the Women’s Elite team at the annual Canada Cup international tourney in Surrey, BC.
Centala is a former Women’s Fast-pitch coach at the University of Washington (1996 – 2004). He helped guide the Huskies to six appearances at the Women’s College World Series, including the national championship game in 1999. Scott was a former professional baseball player with the Kansas City Royals and Minnesota Twins organizations from 1989-1995, as well as two-time All-Southwest Conference selection playing collegiate baseball at Texas A&M from 1987-1989

Gene Ross was a professional baseball player for the Minnesota Twins and Pittsburgh Pirates and played in college at the University of Illinois. He has been a high school and middle school baseball and softball coach, an elite travel ball coach in both baseball and softball, and served on the board of the largest softball league in the U.S. in southern California.
He co-founded the largest baseball/softball training academy in central Illinois and is currently a partner/co-founder in the Georgia Pitching Academy in Dallas, GA which is a complete baseball/softball training facility. Ross has been an instructor, clinician, featured lecturer, consultant and baseball/softball functional fitness trainer for over 20 years. He currently holds a certification from and is a faculty member at The Andrews Institute/ Complete Athlete and is also certified by and is a member of the teaching faculty of the National Pitching Association as well as the Univ. of Southern California’s Rod Dedeaux Research and Baseball Institute. Gene has trained and developed numerous college scholarship athletes and professional athletes as well. He had the unique honor of pitching against Satchel Paige twice in his professional career.

Mike Kerr currently lives in Bellevue, Washington and has been involved in athletics for the majority of his life. Mike was actively involved in several high school sports including basketball, football, track and field, and baseball. He attended the University of Montana where he studied Business Finance and played football
for the 1 –AA Grizzlies. After college Mike continued with the athletic theme and began to run road races ( just to keep the fat off). After running that first 5K he was bitten by the endurance sport bug and eventually moved onto marathons. He has completed over 12 marathons all around the US including the New York and Boston Races. Not stopping there he moved further into the endurance field and started into tri-athlons. Much like running he started short and then moved up to the Ironman race series. This year he will going for his 6th Ironman race and looking to improve on his PB time.
Mike enjoys being involved in any activity that takes place outside and is involved in his children’s sports teams. He is currently a coach for his son’s baseball and football teams and his daughters basketball squad. Mike’s vision is to help kids understand the importance of sports and how it can help them in all aspects of their lives.
